a2z, Inc. Partners with Hannover Fairs USA Inc. to Help Launch
ExchangeWorld.net Program for CeBIT and the Paris Air Show
(Columbia, MD)-Hannover Fairs USA, Inc. (HFUSA) has signed a multi-year contract with a2z Inc. to use the a2zShow™ solution to power the online component of two tradeshow-related programs: ExchangeWorld.net and the American Technology Source Book online.
The first phase of ExchangeWorld.net captures four product sectors -- Bluetooth™, DSL (digital subscriber line), Fibre Channel and Linux -- that are part of the overall exhibition program at CeBIT 2001 (March 22-28; Hannover, Germany) and presents them in one virtual location at www.exchangeworld.net . The second phase will involve adding four Paris Air Show 2001 (June 17-24; Le Bourget, France) Exchange programs-Business Aviation, Onboard Cabin Comforts, Metals for the Millennium, and Space & Communications-to the site.
“We chose a2zShow because it delivers the functionality and scalability we need to power this diverse program,” said Joachim Schafer, President of HFUSA. “ExchangeWorld.net gathers CeBIT's Bluetooth, DSL, Fibre Channel and Linux exhibitors into well-defined subgroups and makes it easier for potential partners to find them before, during and after the show.”
Each online CeBIT exchange contains an overview of the technology, an exhibitor list, exhibitor information, a floor plan, and links to related sites. The a2zShow solution also features a powerful search function, a tool that enables users to create a personalized itinerary, and a content management system that simplifies site maintenance. The CeBIT section of ExchangeWorld will showcase approximately 1,100 of the show's more than 8,000 total exhibitors.
“Presenting what is displayed on screen in a context-sensitive format keeps the attendees from feeling overwhelmed by too much information,” said Rajiv Jain, President of a2z, Inc. “The way we have structured it, there is one database feeding several websites-one for each of the exchanges. The benefit to HFUSA and their customers is that they only have to enter new information in one location.”
The American Technology Source Book online www.americantechsources.com is the official directory of American companies that exhibit at CeBIT and is equipped with the same functionality as www.exchangeworld.net .
CeBIT is the world's largest IT and communications tradeshow. CeBIT 2001 will use 26 exhibit halls (4.5 million square feet of display area) and will host roughly 8,000 exhibitors from 63 countries and 750,000 attendees from 100 countries. By comparison, Comdex Fall (the largest computer show in the U.S.) attracts approximately 2,000 exhibitors, and McCormick Place in Chicago (North America's largest convention facility) offers one-half of the available floor space that CeBIT requires.
a2z, Inc. specializes in providing web-based solutions for trade organizations, helping them to better serve their industry, improve their customer relationship management, and increase their bottom-line profitability.
Hannover Fairs USA, Inc. is the American subsidiary of Hannover, Germany-based Deutsche Messe AG, the world's largest and most active trade exhibition organizer and facility. Hannover Fairs USA organizes exhibit and marketing programs at leading international trade fairs throughout the world.
