We could not be any happier with how Expo! Expo! went. We had
a great session with clients at the User Group on Monday, December 5th, and we unveiled the ChirpE
attendee acquisition widget. The feedback was excellent and interest was strong. We are prepared to begin rolling this out to existing clients beginning January 16! If you are interested in a demo, please
e-mail me.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you and yours a Happy New Year and a successful 2012.

Quarterly
Exposition Industry Analysis
Our Quarterly Exposition Industry Analysis is hot off the presses. This analysis reports data through Q4 of calendar year 2011. This information reflects overall industry performance, sales pacing as well as a breakdown of vertical market performance. The analysis is based on our aggregate event data from the hundreds of shows managed on our platform, paired in cooperation with CEIR information.
The Quarterly Index shows... *Q4 levels a full 11% ahead of 2009, with the full year clocking in at 2% ahead of 2009 levels. The worst is behind us. **Industry Pacing trends show past events' NSF sold trended ahead over last year by 6%. And the staggering good news is that the forecast for actual NSF sold for events being held in the next six months is 20% ahead of 2010 levels. ***Industry Sectors are all close to 2009 levels, but there are some outliers, with industrial and heavy machinery leading the way at 127% and the Sporting Goods/Travel/Amusements sector reflecting only 85% of the 2009 levels through Q4 2011.

* Quarterly Index compares NSF from 2008 to 2011 Q4, with 2009 as the base comparison year. ** Pacing Trends shows actual NSF sold for events in last six months as well as actual space sold for shows in the upcoming six months.
***Industry Sectors compares CEIR-specified verticals for 2009, 2010, and 2011 (through Q3).
I hope you will find this analysis and data valuable. If you have any questions or think there are additional measures that a2z should start to track, please feel free to share those with me. It is input from experts like you that brought this to fruition.

Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM) is the leading membership organization for retail facilities professionals. They share industry best practices, education, forums, partnerships and events with their members. PRSM is
in their first year with a2z. And yet, things are dramatically different. Four months out from their show and their space is completely sold out, their payments are coming in faster and
they have realized tremendous time savings. Stay tuned for a complete case study coming soon!

In our December #a2zusergroup Tweet Chat we discussed exhibitor communications. Participants shared ideas on timing (when to start, how much is too much, etc), how to balance the communications and different methodologies to communicate with your exhibitors. One of the great ideas shared was using webinars to walk through exhibitor kits and exhibitor expectations, especially for first time exhibitors. It was a great session.

Our next Tweet Chats will be held January 4, 2012, and February 1, 2012, both at 12:30 p.m. ET. We will be discussing boosting sponsorship sales in January and driving attendee adoption of your online floor plan tools is the February topic. We look forward to chatting with you! |
