a2z Integrates With More Industry Systems

OVERVIEW:
There has been a growing trend toward integration in the business world. The need to bring together diverse systems that run completely on different platforms in different locations into a cooperative model is essential, especially in the fast-paced world of trade shows.

Over the last couple of years, more and more non-profit and for-profit show organizers have been demanding that the new technology systems and programs they purchase "talk" to their existing/legacy systems. That is something a2z has always specialized in, and recently a2z completed three (3) new client integrations, each with its own unique requirements and using standards based XML WebServices technology. Pat Pathade, a2z’s Director of Project Management, talked to us in an interview and highlighted the unique characteristics of these four integrations.

Toy Industry Association (iMIS® Integration)
TIA uses iMIS® to manage member information. Each member has several contacts but only one contact is used for the annual Toy Fair trade show. Managing changes to the contacts and making sure that information was accurately repeated in a2z was a big challenge. Updating a contact the old way meant they would have to make the update in their iMIS® system and then manually repeat the changes in a2z; a serious problem when dozens of entries need updating. Integration eliminated this problem.

With the new a2z integration, updated data in the iMIS® system automatically gets updated on the a2z system accurately, quickly, securely and in real time. This is a significant achievement considering that the iMIS® system runs at the TIA offices located in New York and the a2z system runs in Atlanta, each using different technologies. Having these two systems work cooperatively and smoothly would not have been possible without integration. a2z worked with TIA's iMIS® vendor to build the integration with iMIS®.

American Optometric Association (Epicor® Integration)
AOA had a very specific requirement for an exposition system to be able to integrate with Epicor®, its accounting system. a2z was able to successfully implement a seamless integration with Epicor®, moving Invoice and Payment information from a2z to Epicor® and returning a flag back to a2z for every transaction successfully moved. This integration was particularly challenging because of the complexities commonly associated with moving financial data.

World Market Center- Las Vegas (ACT!® Integration)
Integration for WMC highlights the flexibility of a2z with yet another system; and the convenience and cost savings when our clients do not have to give up good systems they already use. WMC uses ACT!® as their CRM system. The a2z-ACT!® integration meant a full circle integration - WMC’s data goes to a2z, and a2z sends back booth information to ACT!®.

So there you have it. Three unique integrations with different AMS, accounting and CRM systems that are saving a2z clients hours and hours of admin time, eliminating double, manual data entry and typos, plus minimizing and eliminating costs.
