a2z has always been a strong proponent of adapting quickly to innovations in the technology space. Recently, an a2z project manager, Donna Munsie, shared this experience she had at a clientís show which underscores the importance of engaging end users with cutting-edge technology solutions.

To help expedite the booth reservation process, Donna made an impromptu decision to pull out her iPad and hand it to each prospect to explore the floor plan before reserving their booth. This immediately caught the attention of the visiting exhibitors and they loved it! To help exhibitors who were too busy to make it to the sales office, Donna took the iPad to their booth and used it to reserve their space for the next year. A win-win situation for all parties concerned.

a2zís Quarterly Exposition Industry Analysis is back with important news regarding the current state of the industry. This report considers data through Q3 of the calendar year 2012 and includes overall industry performance, a breakdown of vertical market performance, sales pacing of the last six and the next six months. The information is based on aggregate event data from the hundreds of shows managed on a2zís platform.

  • NSF in Q3 of 2012 is down by about 5% from Q3 of 2011

  • Unfortunately, NSF is expected to fall in Q4 as well

  • Industrial/Heavy Machinery, Finished Business Outputs, and Energy and Food are sectors with strong performance despite the overall industry numbers

  • Silver lining is that we are expecting upward trends for Q1 of 2013

Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) in top 3 for Event Technology's Award Category

We would also like to congratulate IFT the for making it into the top 3 for Event Technologyís Best Use of Technology to Build Event Attendance award with ChirpE Attendee Acquisition Widget (AAW). The winner will be announced in November at the Event Technology Awards event in New York.

USITT's smart promotion of the ChirpE Attendee Acquisition Widget

USITT launched an entry page on their website to get their exhibitors started on using the widget to promote their event participation and to acquire meaningful pre-show leads.

While on the subject of AAW, this month we crossed 1.5 million unique views for the attendee acquisition widgets! We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for helping us reach this significant milestone.

American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) experiences success with ChirpE native mobile apps

a2z's clients continue to experience significant success with the marketing support provided with the ChirpE Mobile platform. Earlier this month, 45% of the 6000 people attending the ACEP 2012 Scientific Assembly downloaded the native iOS and Android apps as a result of the email campaign implemented by a2z.

The success of the apps comes hot on the heels of the recent ChirpE 4.0 release of a2z's native and web-based mobile apps.
