a2z Inc. Launches a2zFloorPlan

a2z Inc., a provider of web-based software to the trade show industry, announced today the launch of its new product, a2zFloorPlan - a no-hassle online floor plan management tool. This aggressively priced product allows show organizers to publish and manage their interactive, real-time floor plan online for as low as $2,995. "The online floor plan has helped me streamline the booth assignment and confirmation processes. In addition, the online floor plan helps assure that there is no duplication in assignments," commented enthusiastic Heather Wegge, Director of Conventions & Meetings for the National Wood Flooring Association.

a2zFloorPlan’s management tools allow show managers to manage all aspects of the floor plan, including merge, split, assign and cancel booths from a trade show hall, and manage master exhibitor list. Its integration with AutoCAD® allows service contractors to receive all of the changes made online by the show organizer in their CAD file.

Director of Technology Services for the Freeman Companies, Mike McCool, commented on the achievements that a2z has made on managing the floor plan.

"What a2z has been able to achieve represents a significant advancement for the exhibition industry. Historically, show management has relied on their general service contractor to update their floor plans. Now with web-based tools, such as a2zShow, show managers can do this themselves. Up until this time, however, there was no integration between the web-based software and AutoCAD®, the primary floor planning software that most service contractors use. This was a concern. To successfully execute an event, and manage our show properties and costs effectively, an accurate, up-to-date floor plan is crucial. a2z has filled a huge gap. It’s a win-win-win situation for show managers, contractors and exhibitors. Their new technology keeps everyone up-to-date and in the loop, at no additional cost to anyone."

Rajiv Jain, president of a2z, Inc., is confident the stand-alone availability will be welcomed. "We hope that show managers who may not be able to fit a full suite of a2zShow products into plans for their current show may still be able to make use of the a2zFloorPlan module to save them time and money even this year."

In summary, a2zFloorPlan assists tradeshow organizers in several ways:
  • Merging, dividing and assigning booths is accomplished in a few simple clicks
  • Manage master exhibitor list
  • Booth sales are improved by color-coding that lets exhibitors and the show manager see at a glance which booths are available, reserved, and sold
  • 24-hour access to the floor plan from remote locations
  • Less paper mess
  • The latest, most up-to-date floor plan is always available
  • Integrates with AutoCAD®, the software most show decorators use
  • A full complement of reports

Show managers will be able to run up-to-the-minute reports. Show contractors can get the updated exhibitor database or check detailed reports. Having fingertip access to this information will save hours of time. The show manager, attendees and exhibitors see the latest floor plan online on the show website.

In short, with this new capability and the stand-alone convenience, everyone stays on the same page and the show manager has significantly increased productivity with a minimum of expense.
